What is anime? I know there are a lot of people who don't
know what anime is (shame on you). Well, does manga ring a bell? Most
people know anime as manga but that isn't entirely correct. Manga are
the Japanese comic strips, anime are the Japanse animated series that
mostly originated from a manga (hence the word "anime").
Well... I like anime.
I've managed to gather a nice collection. Because I'm a very
busy person, I didn't have the time to see all of it yet but I'm working
on that!
What are my favorite anime series? Well... that's hard
to say. I haven't seen a series yet that I thought was
bad. Although I'm not into the hentai thing. But my all-time favorite
series is definetely Neon Genesis Evangelion. Other great series are Fullmetal Alchemist, Slayers,
Ranma ½, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, Blood+, Last Exile, Samurai Champloo,...
What are my favorite anime movies? I haven't seen a lot of movies that weren't series related but I can say
that Akira is one kickass standalone anime movie. That one just blew me
away! Two other mustsee movies are Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The
Wind and it's "sequel" Mononoke Hime! Ghost In The Shell is
also very good.
Who's my favorite anime character? Well that's also hard
to say. There are so many cool characters out there. The ones I really
like are Shampoo (Ranma), Asuka (NGE), Amelia (Slayers), Gourry (Slayers),
Lina (Slayers), Spike (Cowboy Bebop),...
